Lower Lake Ranch Colorado Wedding Photographer ~ I say this a lot because we have great couples, but man were these two something special.  I remember all the way back when we scheduled our consult last Summer and I had a session up in the Evergreen area before the meeting.  It was taking a little longer than planned so I let Sara know that I would be a little late.  Well, it got much later because after finishing the session, I got turned around and had no data service to use my map or contact them.  Frantically, I finally got back to 85 and once I had one bar, I got ahold of them and apologized profusely.  Since I ran so late we just planned on rescheduling.  Of course, I figured that I wouldn’t be hearing back from them because one of the most important qualities in your wedding photographer is punctuality.  I always show up to wedding early and rarely run behind to a consult if ever so I figured I blew it.  Not more than 24 hours later Sara rescheduled with me and we met and bam!  They booked us!  I was so glad because everything about their wedding sounded amazing and I could tell they were the kind of couple we love to work with and I knew they would love our style of photography.

Well, moving forward to their engagement session, we were to meet at a botanical garden in the Denver area and I made a mistake putting it in my calendar as the wrong Botanical Garden.  Ugh!  I felt cursed.  Well, they were super understanding and came over where I was and we ended up shooting at Cheeseman Park which ended up amazing.  So, as you may have guessed, we showed up to the wedding venue about an hour earlier than I told her and double and triple checked my map as well as printed up a copy.  Yes, I was a little anxious about not messing it up a third time.  Totally out of character for me, just seemed to happen to the same couple twice!

Okay, enough rambling.  The point of all of that, is that they are so sweet they didn’t even voice a concern or act upset even though I know it put them out because we all have very little time to spare.  For that, I thank them.  As for their personalities, they were both so relaxed and kind as well as just personable and fun to be around.  Not only did we feel that way about them, the whole wedding party and family were inviting, warm, and just down right fun.  So, I did want to explain an image you will see below because it’s too special not to comment on it.  Matt gave Sara a very unique gift.  It was a framed print of the sound waves of his voice saying “I love you”.  That’s super cool!  I have never seen that before and I can promise you, it will always be hanging somewhere special in their home.

The ceremony went perfect and even though the rain came out for about 15 minutes, Matt and Sara just hung out and waited as the guests enjoyed cocktail hour and my wife and I backed away and just gave them some time alone to decompress and just take it all in.  As I type this I get a a little teary eyed because I know they appreciated that and it feels good to know that we made the right choice as wedding photographers to give them what they really deserve, moments to look back on and remember as a perfect moment.  Well, the wedding party was all about having fun and we did just that.  Once into the reception, we were able to sit down out on the patio and eat an amazing dinner while enjoying our surroundings.  When a couple makes sure we get a chance to eat, it is so appreciated because we literally are there all day and never stop.  Food is fuel and boy am I ready to snap away after having filled up! 😉

Honestly, this is one of my favorite wedding of all time.  Not just because the photos are great, but because as I look at each photo I remember how fun it was to take each one and how happy everyone was to be in the photos.  This group was a class act and I’m so glad they gave us a chance to be their forever photo friends!  Congrats guys!
